Dong Nai, May 19, 2025 — In celebration of the 135th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 – May 19, 2025), the People’s Committee of Dong Nai Province solemnly held a tree planting ceremony titled “Tree Planting Festival in Gratitude to Uncle Ho” and a review of five years implementing the Prime Minister’s “One Billion Trees Program” (2021–2025).
The event took place at Brigade 22 – Armored Corps in Bien Hoa City, drawing nearly 700 delegates representing provincial leaders, departments, socio-political organizations, the armed forces, businesses, students, and local residents. It was attended by key leaders of the Provincial Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front of Dong Nai, along with representatives from forest management units such as Cat Tien National Park, the Dong Nai Nature and Culture Reserve, forest protection boards, and forestry companies.
Overview of the event
In her opening remarks, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Hoang, Vice Chairwoman of the Dong Nai People's Committee, expressed deep appreciation to businesses—especially C.P. Vietnam—for their meaningful and consistent partnership with local authorities and communities in environmental initiatives. She emphasized that such efforts clearly reflect a development strategy that harmonizes economic growth with ecosystem protection.

These achievements are part of the company’s long-term initiative: “C.P. Vietnam – Green Journey for Vietnam (2021–2025)”, which has been implemented nationwide with the goal of planting and nurturing 1.5 million trees across business premises and local communities. The program reflects C.P. Vietnam’s strong commitment to sustainable development and corporate social responsibility.

One notable highlight of this initiative in Dong Nai is the 10-hectare mangrove reforestation project in Phước An, Nhơn Trạch district, Đồng Nai province, a coastal area facing erosion and rising sea levels. This project not only helps regenerate vital ecosystems, but also contributes to land stabilization, water purification, and habitat creation for native species.

From 2025 to 2028, C.P. Vietnam will continue working with authorities to implement a 52.6-hectare Assisted Natural Regeneration (ANR) project in Phuoc An Commune. This advanced forest management model leverages natural processes and scientific supervision to restore degraded mangrove areas, enhance biodiversity, and improve forest quality along the lower Dong Nai River.
As part of this green journey, the company is also supporting a long-tailed macaque conservation program within the protective forest area from 2025 to 2030. The initiative carries both biological and social significance, aiming to safeguard endangered wildlife gene pools while raising public awareness about the importance of wildlife conservation and mangrove ecosystems.

Beyond Dong Nai, C.P. Vietnam has made strong environmental contributions in Ben Tre Province. On May 17, 2025, Mr. Krittaphol Huanpeeb, Director of the C.P. Shrimp Hatchery in Ben Tre, represented the company at the local tree planting ceremony hosted by the provincial People’s Committee. Between 2021 and 2025, C.P. Vietnam collaborated with authorities and communities to plant 40 hectares of mangrove forest and 15 hectares of Casuarina forest in erosion-prone coastal zones. These efforts have helped restore ecosystems and protect land from seawater intrusion.
C.P. Vietnam’s environmental strategy goes beyond tree planting. The company is also a pioneer in implementing energy-efficient production solutions. Through investment in modern technology, renewable energy sources (e.g., solar power), and optimized energy management systems at its factories, the company has significantly reduced greenhouse gas emissions—contributing to Vietnam’s national strategy for green growth and low-carbon economic development.

All of these efforts are part of C.P. Vietnam’s long-term strategy, with sustainability as its core foundation. The company’s regular participation in tree planting campaigns, financial support for forest protection, and collaboration with conservation organizations serve as powerful evidence of its enduring commitment to the environment and local communities.
The ceremonies held in Dong Nai and Ben Tre were not only opportunities to recognize outstanding contributors but also served as a call to action for society to come together in building a greener, cleaner, and more sustainable Vietnam. With consistent efforts, strategic vision, and thoughtful investment, C.P. Vietnam continues to affirm its pioneering role in green enterprise development, contributing to the dual goals of economic growth and environmental protection for future generations.
“For C.P. Vietnam, sustainability is not just a promise—it is a core value. The interests of the country, community, and environment are always a top priority.
