Demonstrating its ongoing commitment to community support and inclusive growth, Mondelez Kinh Do Vietnam has donated 256 pre-loved laptops to the Pacific Links Foundation and Saigon Children’s Charity (Saigonchildren). Under this meaningful donation, these laptops will find new purpose in the hands of determined learners. This initiative is believed to fuel their pursuit of knowledge, illuminating their path towards a brighter future, even in the face of adversity.
Out of the total, 155 laptops were distributed through Pacific Links Foundation to lift the dreams of high school and university students participating in the SEEDS and GEMS programs across 12 provinces in Vietnam. Through the GLOW online platform, students will have access to English courses, soft skills workshops, and the GRIT (Growing with Information Technology) self-paced IT learning program. Additionally, the laptops will be provided to students from Vinh Yen Secondary School in Lao Cai, a community recently affected by Typhoon Yagi, and to underprivileged students at the University of Information Technology (UIT).
Mrs. Diep Vuong, Cofounder & President of Pacific Links Foundation, shared: “These laptops empower disadvantaged students to build digital literacy and self-learning habits. Through Pacific Links Foundation’s online learning platform, students gain access to English learning and skill-building courses. This important donation helps them unlock their potential and prepare for a brighter future.”
Meanwhile, 101 laptops were provided to university and college students through Saigon Children’s Charity and its staff to empower their mission in reaching and supporting more children in need.
Mr. Damien Roberts, Executive Director of Saigon Children’s Charity, stated: “Saigonchildren is honoured to partner with Mondelez Kinh Do in donating 101 laptops to support education for disadvantaged students in Vietnam. This generous gift not only reduces e-waste and protects the environment but also bridges the digital divide, empowering disadvantaged students in Vietnam to improve their education and enabling saigonchildren to help unlock their potential. Together, we are creating brighter futures and driving lasting change—thank you for joining us on this vital journey.”
