On September 15, 2026, C.P. Vietnam Corporation ("C.P. Vietnam") and Bach Mai Hospital officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), marking a new milestone in the relationship between the two organizations, moving from years of individual, collaborations to a long-term framework with clear objectives and implementation mechanisms. The signing ceremony was witnessed by Mr. Soopakij Chearavanont, Chairman of the C.P. Group, and the Board of Directors during their working visit to Vietnam.

Mr. Pawalit Ua-Amornwanit, CEO of C.P. Vietnam, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Van Giap, Deputy Director of Bach Mai Hospital, sign the MoU
A Comprehensive Cooperation Framework for Workers, Patients, and the Community
The MoU establishes areas of cooperation spanning three key pillars. The first is employee healthcare, including periodic health check-ups, specialist examinations, screenings, consultations, and vaccination programs for C.P. Vietnam's staff, employees, and other individuals referred by the company.
The second pillar covers community-oriented activities, including promoting voluntary blood donation; raising public awareness and encouraging tissue and organ donation on a voluntary basis and in compliance with the law; as well as health examination, consultation, screening, and education programs, along with initiatives on nutrition, non-communicable disease prevention, and mental health. The two parties will also collaborate on humanitarian efforts, disaster and epidemic relief, and medical support in disadvantaged areas.

The third pillar focuses on social work and support for patients in difficult circumstances. Depending on the specific program, C.P. Vietnam may provide support in the form of meals, essential supplies, and necessary expenses, as well as participate in initiatives to improve care conditions and provide emotional support for patients and their families.
From Individual Collaborations to a Long-Term Commitment
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Van Giap, Deputy Director of Bach Mai Hospital, praised C.P. Vietnam's practical contributions to community initiatives, particularly its efforts in promoting humanitarian blood donation. He noted that the signing, under the message "Joining Hands for Community Health," marks the beginning of a more structured phase of cooperation between the two organizations. He expressed hope that, a year from now, the results of this partnership could be measured in concrete terms — the number of patients supported, and the number of research projects carried out.
As part of the visit, the leadership delegation from C.P. Group and C.P. Vietnam also visited the Blood Donation Point at Bach Mai Hospital, a facility renovated and upgraded with support from C.P. Vietnam, which has been in operation since August 11, 2026, to learn about the process of receiving and caring for blood donors and to interact with donors on site. The delegation also visited and presented Mid-Autumn Festival gifts to children receiving inpatient treatment at the hospital's Pediatric Center.

Guided by the "Three Benefits for Sustainability" Philosophy
According to Mr. Pawalit Ua-Amornwanit, CEO of C.P. Vietnam, the partnership with Bach Mai Hospital is a continuation of the company's 33-year journey in Vietnam, during which it has remained steadfast in its "Three Benefits for Sustainability" philosophy — placing the interests of the people and the community first as a guiding principle for all of the Group's activities. He emphasized that "this Memorandum of Understanding reaffirms C.P. Vietnam's long-term commitment to community health, social responsibility, and the humanitarian values that both organizations pursue."
In fact, healthcare cooperation is not new territory for C.P. Vietnam. For many years, the company has partnered with the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion on the "Red Journey" program, helping to mobilize voluntary blood donations that have contributed to collecting more than one million units of blood. Since 2015, C.P. Vietnam has also taken part in the "Young Doctors Following Uncle Ho's Teachings, Volunteering for Community Health" program, with company volunteers supporting medical staff at examination sites and helping to provide healthcare for former youth volunteers, policy beneficiary families, and people in difficult circumstances. The partnership with Bach Mai Hospital is seen as a natural extension of this ongoing commitment, aimed at building a deeper and more sustainable model of cooperation.
Also Advancing Production Capacity and Export Growth
During the same working visit to Vietnam, C.P. Group Chairman Soopakij Chearavanont and the Group's Board of Directors also visited the C.P. Hai Duong Animal Feedmill. There, the Chairman commended C.P. Vietnam's achievements in recent times and encouraged the company's workforce to continue fostering unity and dedication, while creating more opportunities for young talent to take on greater responsibilities and contribute further to the company's growth.
He also noted that C.P. Group's extensive investment, business, and distribution network across many countries gives C.P. Vietnam an advantage in connecting with the Group's resources, thereby opening up new export opportunities and enabling Vietnam's production capacity to integrate more deeply into the Group's international value chain.
