Home Credit emphasizes commitment to ESG practices

The “ESG Practices in the Consumer Finance and Banking Sector” conference gathered economic experts, representatives from ministries and departments, commercial banks, and consumer finance institutions.

On July 25th, Home Credit Vietnam attended the “ESG Practices in the Consumer Finance and Banking Sector” conference, organized by Thoi Bao Ngan Hang, aiming to find solutions to promote ESG implementation in the consumer finance and banking sector, contributing to the sustainability goals. The event attracted the attention of various ministries, business leaders, and experts across multiple fields.

Mr. Jakub Kudrna, Chief Strategy Officer and Chairperson of ESG Steering Group at Home Credit Vietnam, presented the Sustainability strategy throughout business operations.

At the event, Mr Jakub Kudrna, Chief Strategy Officer​ and Chairperson of ESG Steering Group at Home Credit Vietnam, shared insights on ESG practices in the consumer finance sector, emphasizing that ESG values are central to all company activities. Additionally, Home Credit was mentioned as one of the pioneering financial enterprises in implementing ESG in business operations.

As a pioneer in ESG practices, Mr. Jakub also emphasized, “The key point in ESG practices is that we cannot work in isolation. We cannot develop separate or parallel ESG implementation plans apart from the business strategy of the company. ESG practices must be an integral part of the business development strategy.”

Recently, Home Credit Vietnam published the Sustainability Report 2023. The report not only reaffirms the company’s commitment to corporate social responsibility but also showcases continuous and collective efforts in creating a sustainable future through prominent initiatives such as Home Love and Home for Life.
