As a member of the Vietnam Business Council for Sustainable Development (VBCSD), C.P. Vietnam Corporation (CPV) has always actively participated in VBCSD's activities, typically the CSI program annually. The CSI program is an activity to evaluate enterprises that perform well in responsible production and business activities in all three aspects: socio-economic and environmental. Each year, the CSI index will undergo a comprehensive structural reform in a clear direction so that businesses can easily access, apply to production and business activities, and build a solid foundation for the development of sustainable production and business activities.
On the evening of December 13, 2023, the launching ceremony of sustainable enterprises in Vietnam 20223, organized by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and the Vietnam Business Council for Sustainable Development (VBCSD), took in Hanoi. The announcement ceremony was honored to welcome Mr. Tran Tuan Anh, Member of the Politburo and Head of the Central Economic Commission to speech directing and encouraging the business community. Attending the launching ceremony were representatives of departments, ministries, branches, central and local agencies, domestic and international organizations, press agencies, and more than 300 business delegates.
At the announcement ceremony of sustainable enterprises in 2023, CPV was honored as one of the top 100 sustainable enterprises in the manufacturing sector. On behalf of CPV participating and receiving the title, there was Mr. Vu Anh Tuan, CPV Senior Vice President.
The title "Top 100 Sustainable Enterprises in the Manufacturing Sector 2023" is the result of efforts throughout the production activities of CPV's business units in receiving and applying CSI sustainability indicators in production and business activities, aiming to be an enterprise with economic development but always for the social community and a sustainable green environment.
With the theme "Corporate Social Responsibility," the conference "Developing Supplier Potential" in the northern region of C.P. Vietnam was successfully held on December 19, 2023, in Hanoi.
British American Tobacco (BAT) Vietnam officially issued its ESG Report 2022, outlining strategic purpose, approaches, initiatives, and roadmap in line with the Vietnamese market, continuing to reaffirm its leadership in the tobacco industry on Environment, Society, and Governance (ESG) reporting. December 8, 2023: IDH’s worker safety program for the apparel sector, Life and Building Safety (LABS) Initiative, has achieved a significant milestone by improving the safety of 1 million workers in India, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Indonesia. On November 17th 2023, the final round of the INSEE Prize 2023 concluded successfully in Ho Chi Minh City, featuring the Board of Jury, the top 05 projects selected after two rounds of rigorous evaluation, and esteemed guests.
